Patti Koosed's New Book 'One Tough S.O.B.' is a Brilliant Look Into Technology, Healthcare Industry, and Medical Professionals

Patti Koosed, a retired interior designer who resides in Coos Bay, has completed her most recent book “One Tough S.O.B.”: a gripping and potent manuscript that accounts journeys through busy hallways of hospitals and getting a closer look into the current condition of the health industry.

Patti writes, “Alan was admitted to three different hospitals fourteen times for the same diagnosis, in a period of two months.

My observation in these two months was that technology has changed the health industry and has taken away that one-on-one relationship between a doctor and the patient. There was a time not too many years ago that doctors made house calls. Now, if you’re hospitalized, your doctor doesn’t make rounds each day but instead has a hospitalist doing rounds, and that hospitalist is different each day. Computers have kept the nurse or doctor busy entering data into it. Data is important to record, but so is a personal relationship from your health-care professionals.”

Published by Fulton Books, Patti Koosed’s book is an illuminating read that follows Alan’s story throughout his diagnoses. Likewise, in here, one will also find how technology impacted the field of healthcare.
